I was deeply disappointed that Michael Franti and Spearhead were not a part of this show because I bought the ticket only for them. We missed you, Michael! I hope you get better soon!
Joy Oladokun completely carried the show as for the rest. Augustana was minimally engaging, except when Joy Oladokun was onstage with them. I liked the set-up of the concert, both bands opening together. Augustana leaves so Joy Oladokun could have the stage to themselves for a few songs, then both bands back on stage together. Augustana stayed back and forth, leading to an interesting and engaging concert. As for A/V, the sound did not seem equalized properly. The high frequencies were not controlled, quite a bit of feedback from the singer's mic. The cameras spent over 90% of the concert focused on the lead singers, giving little respect to the rest of the band members. I'm glad to have seen Joy Oladokun, though, they put on a good live, unplugged show!
